The KOALA was an awesome product to help design, and after a successful Kickstarter campaign at the end of 2019, I continue to work on improving this incredible phone harness. Check out the harness, and my designs below:
About the KOALA
The KOALA is a phone harness for the early riser, weekend warrior, wilderness explorer, white water rafter, and rock climber in all of us.
The harness is made from a flexible soft material wraps around any phone securely without the fear of damage. The coiled leash is strong and snaps back to the user on phone drop.
My work
I joined the project about halfway through the development process. My primary role was CAD design and rendering product images, but after some issues with prototyping, I was asked to make some design improvements on the new design, including unobtrusive material reinforcements and phone application strategies.
After the KOALA's successful launch, I have continued my work with Hangtime Gear developing new designs and prototypes for the KOALA phone harness.
