Experience
At the start of my career, I worked for 3 years in the automotive industry developing 3D models for production vehicles for General Motors and brands like Cadillac and Buick.
Throughout my time with GM I was given opportunities to work in a hybrid role between CAD Engineer and UX Designer/Researcher. In this role, I worked with innovation teams to conduct research on drowsy driving and developed prototypes and proof of concepts for emerging technologies like BrightDrop, a fleet of hyper efficient delivery vans.
In 2021, I started a UX Researcher position for Newell Brands that not only challenged my research skills, but also enabled me to utilize my expertise in UX/UI design, product design, engineering, and manufacturing.
In this position, I worked on many UX research and design projects and appliances for major brands including Sunbeam, Oster, Crockpot, Coleman, and Graco. Across the brands, I conducted user testing and contextual empathy research, developed UI wireframes, graphics, and logic, and developed ergonomic guidelines for projects based on anthropometric data.
Since 2023, I've worked in a role at Whirlpool Corporation working in the small and large appliance industry.
I have worked on many projects in the Dish, Garage, Refrigeration, and Small Appliance category. Similar to my previous roles, I conduct product evaluations and user research and develop user journeys, digital wireframes, and behavior specification. I have worked on many impactful projects the most recent of which was a battery powered ecosystem of kitchen appliances known as KitchenAid Go.
I also work as a freelance designer, and for the past 7 years I have been providing 3D design, printing, and rendering, graphic design, and UX/UI design services to a variety of clientele.
